Sumario:This article aims to contribute to journalism studies regarding the issue of the so called sensationalist press. It deals with the discussion on relevant news vs. interesting news in order to demonstrate how sensationalism has always been among the journalism practice. Then it points out authors of the journalism theory targeting at giving a brief historical background of the journalism practice as news. Finally, the article seeks on the philosophical contributions of the pos-structuralism, the meaning of the logic of the sensations from Gilles Deleuze to reach a new understanding about the sensational issue.
