Sumario:Prizes in Journalism are devices used by News Promoters (Molotch and Lester) and Primary Defining (Hall et al.) in order to access the Professional Culture (Schudson) and promote extra-organizational certification of an exemplary ethos of that would be good and bad, successful or failure in the profession, along the lines of Professionalism (Soloski). According to a study about 114 awards in Brazil, the paper discusses the results of a doctoral thesis that maps conditions upon which the awards are organized. The reflection uses the triangulation research and 30 ratings tabulated data.
