The objective of the study is to determine the purchasing behavior of clothing consumers in the city of Chone, Manabí province. The behavioral variables that were taken into account to perform the respective analyzes were: time, the way to cancel the products, company at the time of making the purchase. The research method used was quantitative and qualitative. Interviewing techniques, surveys, and crossing of variables was applied in a significant sample that represented clothing consumers between 16 and 30 years of age. The results obtained come from 80% of the consumers belonging to the urban parish of Chone, mostly the purchase is made in cash, always allocates time to buy clothes without the company of someone and does not make significant differences between clothes imported and national. Consumers take half an hour to make the purchase action, identifying the behavior in this category of products will improve business strategies by businesses that are in the city.El comportamiento del consumidor, está marcado por las características que componen cada conjunto homogéneo que existe en el mercado es decir los segmentos de mercado, esta información es importante para el desarrollo de los negocios de ropa en cualquier lugar del mundo. El estudio tiene como objetivo determinar el comportamiento de compra de los consumidores de ropa de la ciudad de Chone, provincia Manabí. Las variables comportamentales que se tomaron en cuenta para realizar los respectivos análisis fueron: el tiempo, forma de cancelar los productos, compañía al momento de realizar la compra. El método de investigación utilizado fue el cuantitativo y cualitativo. Se aplicaron técnicas de entrevistas, encuestas, cruce de variables en una muestra significativa que representó a consumidores de ropa de entre 16 y 30 años de edad. Los resultados obtenidos, provienen del 80% de los consumidores pertenecientes a la parroquia urbana de Chone, en su mayoría la compra es realizada en efectivo, siempre destina tiempo para comprar prendas de ropa sin la compañía de alguien y no hace diferencias mayores entre la ropa importada y nacional.
