Influencia de la actividad probiotica de Lactiplantibacillus plantarum en el agua de cultivo de camarones Penaeus vannamei Boone, 1931

Sumario:In order to evaluate the performance of the probiotic Lactobacillus plantarum in Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp throughout its development stage (growth). 10,000 nauplii distributed in two treatments were used: with probiotic (T1), starting at 10 ml, doses up to 50 ml, which was gradually increased every 15 days and dissolved in 1000 ml of distilled water, and without probiotic (T2 ). The variables under study were: weight gain (GP), length (LG), feed conversion (CA) and mortality rate (TM). The observations were analyzed through descriptive and comparative statistics between homogeneous groups (T test). The results for T1 were: 1.41 g (GP); 8.04cm(Lg); 0.88 (CA) and 10% (TM). While for T2 the following averages were reached: 1.37 g; 7.04 cm; 0.91 and 40%, respectively. The abiotic parameters were determined, resulting in the following on average: 5.73 mg/lt, dissolved oxygen; 29.9°C water temperature and 7.32 pH in T1 and for T2 they were 5.22 mg/lt; 29.2°C and pH 6.50, respectively. The microbiological analysis of the water allowed us to infer a higher water quality for T1, product of the decomposition of the sediment, as a consequence of the presence of the probiotic. The viability as an alternative of the probiotic in the production of Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp in the growth stage is concluded.
