Sumario:The use of photography as a tool and as a testimony at the same time configures a politics of visuality and memory, and it sometimes works to replace the absence of voices that have disappeared in time. Digging into the sedimented construction of history, it is important to show how one can go beyond the narration of the events and investigate the humanity of the protagonists. In this way, the rescue of other critical, analytical and reflective looks on one of the most emblematic photos of the October 2019 outbreak in Ecuador becomes transcendental.
