| Sumario: | The research proposal entitled: Child Abuse and its impact on the self-esteem of children between ages 3 to 5, from the Municipal child development center No.1, from the market Gran Colombia in the city of Loja-Ecuador, in the period 2011-2012.Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children. It was proposed as a general objective, determine how child abuse affects the development of children's self-esteem between ages of 3 to 5, from the Municipal child development center No.1, from the market Gran Colombia in the city of Loja, in the period 2011-2012. The specific objectives, identify the Educational and Socioeconomic Status of children's families between ages 3 to 5 that show signs of child abuse and identify the effects caused by child abuse in the development of self-esteem of these children. The methodology used was descriptive in the field of educational psychology, for the development of this research was used, the inductive-deductive method, descriptive method, analytic-synthetic method and hermeneutic method, all these methods fulfilled specific roles in the investigation. The techniques used were: interview, survey and observation guide, in order to obtain information on the impacts and manifestations of self-esteem in children. The results reveal that there is a crucial link between child abuse and integral development that should have a boy and girl at this age, basically because parents, mothers and teachers do not have management strategies and technical tools own to help improve the quality and warmth of relations between children and adults in everyday spaces, that will achieve an effective intervention with a comprehensive rights-based approach, involving the family in the process of developing their sons and daughters. Also the results that were reached, it is because the socio and economic level is a determining factor for child abuse occurs factor, and not the parenting style that had parents in childhood, and these in turn reproduce these styles with abusers attitudes, before this situation arose as part of alternative management guidelines awareness workshops that will contribute to the development of skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for the development of a positive self-esteem, based on love to the children of this children's center. |
