Sumario:The company EP Petroecuador in block 7 Oso B has a 13.6 MW electricity generation plant since 2015, in charge of generating energy for the Oso B and Oso I locations; and due to failures or mismatches in the electrical protections during its operation, they cause economic losses for the company. The purpose of this work is to collect information and evaluate the adjustments of the electrical protections at the level of 4.16 and 13.8 kV of the generation plant, and through a modeling of the electrical system in the ETAP 20.0 software, it was simulated: flows power, short circuits and equipment failures to obtain the different relay coordination curves.
