Observing that the highest number of accidents occurred in 2018, mostly to men between 25 and 44 years of age, in the center or usual workplace. The most common injuries being fractures in the upper extremities. Most construction accidents occur on Monday mornings, mainly in Guayas and Pichincha.El sector de la construcción es uno de los más importantes en el país, pues genera empleo e inversión. Sin embargo, poco se conoce de la tipología y causas de los accidentes que suceden durante la ejecución de esta actividad. En esta investigación se realiza un análisis de datos obtenidos de fuentes oficiales de la accidentalidad en el sector de la construcción en el período 2016-2019, buscando relacionarlos con aspectos como el género, edad, tipo de trabajo, lugar de ocurrencia, tipos de riesgo, ubicación, además se considera la naturaleza de las lesiones. Observando que el mayor número de accidentes ocurrió en 2018 en su mayoría a hombres de entre 25 a 44 años de edad, en el centro o lugar de trabajo habitual. Siendo las heridas más comunes fracturas en las extremidades superiores.
