Sumario:The construction sector is one of the most important in the country, as it generates employment and investment. However, little is known about the type and causes of accidents that occur during the execution of this activity. In this research, an analysis of data obtained from official sources of accidents in the construction sector in the period 2016-2019 is carried out, seeking to relate them to aspects such as gender, age, type of work, place of occurrence, types of risk, location, the nature of the injuries is also considered. Observing that the highest number of accidents occurred in 2018, mostly to men between 25 and 44 years of age, in the center or usual workplace. The most common injuries being fractures in the upper extremities. Most construction accidents occur on Monday mornings, mainly in Guayas and Pichincha.
