| Sumario: | The objective of the present research was to analyze intra-family violence and its influence on the academic performance of high school students from the Educational Unit “María Mazzarello” in Riobamba city, period September 2014-September 2015. The applied methodology was exploratory, descriptive and explanatory. Whereas for the design the quasi-experimental research along with the bibliographical and of field was applied. In the same way we applied the techniques of observation and the survey that led us the verification and testing of the hypothesis. The Excel computer program in used to carry out the analysis of results, with which tables of frequencies and graphs were elaborated, where cases, frequencies and percentage of each of the items of the surveys were incorporated. Among the results of the research and the result of the respective diagnosis, it is evidenced that the students have received mistreatment al the intra-familiar level of psychological type 83, 72%, of physical type 88, 37%; among its causes it is determined that it is caused by effects of misunderstandings by a couple in 81, 40%, as well as by alcohol abuse in the family in 76, 74%, therefore it is influencing the academic performance of the students. Consequently, in order to reduce this problem, the psycho pedagogical intervention program was designed and implemented through workshops to improve the academic performance of the young students. |
