Approximation to the use of wet mount shrimp analysis as a predictive indicator of its growth in culture
Analyzes of multiple explorations and correlations between the variables of the wet mount analysis (degree of condition of hepatopancreas, Gregarines and Epibionts) and the Average Weekly Increase -AWI- of 76 shrimp ponds in Sonora, Mexico, were performed. Although the wet mount analysis variables s...

| Sumario: | Analyzes of multiple explorations and correlations between the variables of the wet mount analysis (degree of condition of hepatopancreas, Gregarines and Epibionts) and the Average Weekly Increase -AWI- of 76 shrimp ponds in Sonora, Mexico, were performed. Although the wet mount analysis variables showed negative correlation trends with the AWI, only the gregarine infestation showed significant evidence with the AWI, suggesting that parasitosis causes negative effects on shrimp growth, even in organisms that are not severely affected. |
