This process allowed the transfer of that theoretical knowledge by reproducing it in simple and attractive laboratory experiments for preschool children in the community who participated in this science outreach program. The experimental model with a quantitative paradigm was used, where the analysis of the measurement instruments of the variables indicated the effectiveness of the activities carried out in the acquisition of significant learning in Chemical Sciences in both groups; as well as the importance of interacting with the steps of the scientific method and handling reagents, materials and laboratory equipment. Significant learning in the subject of Chemistry II in adolescent students and acquisition of new knowledge in science in children of early school age who were involved in laboratory activities were verified.La Semana Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología fue el evento principal que se convirtió en el espacio de la presente investigación, en ella se impulsó el hecho de que estudiantes de Nivel Medio Superior con bajo rendimiento académico en las materias de Química I y II, de la ciudad de La Paz, Baja California Sur, México, se motivaran en adquirir su propio aprendizaje en el área de la Química. Este proceso dio paso al traslado de esos conocimientos teóricos al ser reproducidos en experimentos de laboratorio, sencillos y llamativos para niños de nivel preescolar de la comunidad que participaron en este programa de divulgación de las ciencias. Se utilizó el modelo experimental con paradigma cuantitativo, el mismo que mediante el análisis de los instrumentos de medición de las variables indicó en ambos grupos la efectividad que tuvieron las actividades realizadas para la adquisición de aprendizajes significativos en las Ciencias Químicas; así como la importancia de interactuar con los pasos del método científico manipulando reactivos, materiales y equipo de laboratorio.
