Sumario:This scientific research article arises from the lack of interest, attention and concentration produced by the post-pandemic effects since with the progressive return to educational institutions both students and teachers are unmotivated within their class hours, which is reflected in their low academic performance. For this reason, this research "ACTIVE PAUSE ASA METHODOLOGICAL STRATEGY TO IMPROVE ATTENTIONIN HIGH SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTs" was born, with the following fundamental objective: to determine that, the active pause as a methodological strategy, contributes to maintain the attention in the students of basic education and high school of the Otavalo and 2 de Agosto Educational Units. The methodology used in the research is qualitative, quantitative and quasi-experimental. Due to this, the desired results were obtained with the elaboration of the didactic guide that contributes to improve the attention and concentration of the students in all the subjects taught. The classes would become more enjoyable and entertaining, increasing their interest in learning, and in this way the advantages of its application were verified, demonstrating physiological and psychological changes. This research was caried out with middle and high school students from 11 to 17 years of age, in addition to the collaboration of the teaching staff who teach these levels of education.
