| Sumario: | This study focuses in the structural analysis of the crankshaft in a 2.8L MWM Sprint engine using Autodesk Inventor. The methodology of the study involved an extensive literature review of studies related to the topic with the purpose of obtaining accurate data to determine the effort to which the crankshaft is subjected, e.g. flexion and torsion. Simulations will be performed applying pressure on specific points, implementing the method of finite elements. The results shown in the conclusions about the analysis of the crankshaft endurance are influenced by a series of factors as the compression relation, displacement, cylinder pressure, connecting rod, and piston dimensions, among others. |
