| Sumario: | This thesis work has as objective the design of a project management guide for "Futuros Ingenieros" project for the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) of Ecuador, based on the project management standard of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The “Futuros Ingenieros” project is proposed by IEEE Ecuador as an alternative to get children and young people perceive scientific and technological studies as easy and interesting, increasing technological studies vocations in Ecuador. However, the project implementation has been carried out with an almost experimental planning and execution, and has not even had adequate monitoring, control and closure, which causes the loss of profitability of the investment, a lack of documentation that supports the management and cost overruns, therefore, it has been determined the need to implement an adequate model of management for "Futuros Ingenieros" project based on the Guide of the Fundamentals for Project Management published by the PMI, with the objective of maximizing the financial and economic profitability of the investment made. The thesis work consists of a diagnosis of the status of “Futuros Ingenieros" project, reviewing the processes generated by IEEE Ecuador, then a project plan is defined based on the PMI standard, which serves as the basis to finally present a design of the project management guide. |
