The exchange of narrative type within the narrated story: historical novel - psychological novel - fantastic novel - ethic novel shows the ways in which European literatures were assimilated, adapted and innovated during the 19th century in Ecuadorian narrative, and also the way inwhich the novel was a means to propagate ideology. |
