Descripción
Sumario:There is ample literature on the contributions of microcredits in the reduction of poverty nationally and internationally, but there are few studies that show the change that this financial tool represents in the living conditions of its beneficiaries and family members; which means that there are almost no studies that go beyond looking at economic or financial factors; understanding that a real impact in terms of living conditions must consider variables such as access to education, access to health, access to public services, improvements in customary conditions, per capita income, among others. The chapter gathers the results of a research that sought to evaluate the changes in the living conditions of the beneficiaries of the "Banco de la Gente" program, which is a strategy undertaken by the Institute for the Development of Antioquia- IDEA- that grants microcredits in the Department. Additionally, a review of the literature and the regulatory framework of microcredits was carried out, which allowed the construction of the instrument based on the variables that emerged from the review.
