| Sumario: | The Santa Bárbara`s Church in Bogotá is one of the oldest and most important churches in the city, being one of the vestiges of religious architecture in the colony, as well as being a witness to several of the most important historical events in the country. At present, this building, declared an asset of national cultural interest, is in the forgetfulness of Bogota and with several problems that threaten its conservation as a city heritage. That said, this work seeks to assess and evaluate the building that exists today, taking into account its history, in order to propose certain guidelines that fight for the conservation of the property, in addition to the recovery of the comprehensive reading of its intrinsic values, this being a contribution to the study of colonial buildings in the country as well as contributing to the historical memory of the city. |
