Sumario:This research study aims at finding the effectiveness of an English Program in terms of achieving the set goals in oral proficiency. The Communicative approach that was adopted by the English program is reviewed as well as the literature on how to determine the effectiveness of a foreign language program. The objectives of the research are to measure the level of oral proficiency of the learners in the program and to understand those teaching practices that motivate students to participate and improve their oral skills. Therefore, it attempts to shed light on the level of achievement of the speaking skill in the English program in order to contribute to its improvement in further curricular analysis.
