Ultimately, the article thinks about the strategies of war, the temporality and the relations with the political and social Colombian and international environment, environment that allowed to the FARC to continue as active organization during the last four decades.Este artículo tiene como objetivo dar cuenta de la longevidad y la cohesión de la principal organización de las guerrillas en Colombia, las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC). El texto inicia con un rápido recuento histórico de las FARC y realiza una exposición de fenómenos significativos en las diferentes fases organizativas de este grupo guerrillero.
