Sumario:This article analyzes the longevity and the cohesion of the principal organization of the guerrilla in Colombia, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The text initiates with a rapid historical inventory of the FARC and realizes a presentation of significant phenomena in the different organizational phases of this guerrilla group. Ultimately, the article thinks about the strategies of war, the temporality and the relations with the political and social Colombian and international environment, environment that allowed to the FARC to continue as active organization during the last four decades.
