description En esta tesis nos proponemos relacionar la calidad de la escritura con un amplio conjunto de rasgos ling üísticos y discursivos presentes en introducciones de los trabajos fi nales de grado de ingeniería civil informática. Entre nuestros hallazgos destacamos que la extensión presenta una relación negativa fuerte con la calidad de la introducción. A su vez, identi ficamos que el uso de voz pasiva, de vocabulario especializado, de conectores, pronombres personales y la complejidad sintáctica se correlacionan de manera positiva alta con la calidad de las introducciones. Por último, el cumplimiento de propósitos comunicativos, en particular la indicación del vacío, presenta correlaciones positivas medias con la calidad del escrito. Estos resultados son de interés para aplicaciones computacionales de apoyo a la escritura académica.
