Se desarrolla y se define el narcogótico mexicano como una herramienta teórico-crítica conformada por el carácter híbrido de diversos objetos culturales, tales como: narrativa, música, cine, pintura, iconografías, fenómenos de internet, videografías, etc. Que son representados a través de características temáticas y formales como: la muerte, lo monstruoso, los lugares malditos, lo diabólico, lo fantasmal, el cuerpo mutilado, la tortura, el dolor, entre otras y pertenecientes todas a la tradición estética de lo sublime. La dimensión del narcogótico mexicano está enmarcada por las ‘experiencias límite’ generadas por la “narcoviolencia” extrema del México contemporáneo y por las constantes intersecciones entre la realidad, el horror sobrenatural y la tradición del horror en la cultura de masas moderna o contemporánea. Con lo anterior se pone en movimiento el trabajo de críticos y artistas que se ocupan del carácter ético-político de la violencia de la narcomáquina en el territorio mexicano contemporáneo.

The Mexican narco-ghetto is developed and defined as a theoretical-critical tool conformed by the hybrid character of diverse cultural objects, such as: narrative, music, cinema, painting, iconography, internet phenomena, videography, etc. They are represented through thematic and formal characteristics such as: death, the monstrous, the cursed places, the diabolic, the ghostly, the mutilated body, torture, pain, among others and all belonging to the aesthetic tradition of the sublime . The dimension of the Mexican narco-ghetto is framed by the 'borderline experiences' generated by the extreme "narcoviolence" of contemporary Mexico and by the constant intersections between reality, supernatural horror and the tradition of horror in modern or contemporary mass culture.
