Sumario:A non-experimental within-subjects evaluation was conducted to quantitatively assess the effectiveness of the Principles and Practice of Psychoanalytic Parent-Infant Psychotherapy (PP-PPIP) course in transmitting clinical skills and whether returning to clinical practice contributed to consolidating the knowledge acquired during the course. Participants were professionals who attended the 2018 PP-PPIP course. Data were collected across three time-points using the Applications of Clinical Training Assessment (ACTA) measure and its online pilot version (ACTA-Online). On the last day of the course, participants improved the competence level of some skills and four weeks after, few changes were identified. The effectiveness of the PP-PPIP course was partially supported, but the contribution of returning to clinical practice could not be supported.
