description In an article on artificial literature, Camarneiro (2023) mentions the very trendy discussion about the application of Artificial Intelligence to complex tasks, such as the production of literature and of knowledge, considered to be human. In this sense and also inspired by an editorial filled with humor, in which the Editor-in-Chief Figueiredo (2023) of the newspaper Notícias da Covilhã interacts with ChatGPT to help him think about the theme for the editorial, we decided to invite ChatGPT as co-author of the present manuscript. From the interaction with ChatGPT, we start with a presentation of this language model. Continuing the interaction, we discuss the resolution of a generalization of a matrix equation proposed in a Linear Algebra reference. Taking into account the errors committed by ChatGPT in this interaction, we attempt to find explanations for the errors. We end with directions for future research, in particular related to the possibility of using ChatGPT in the teaching and the learning processes of Mathematics.

En un artículo sobre literatura artificial, Camarneiro (2023) hace referencia a la muy actual discusión en torno a la aplicación de la Inteligencia Artificial en tareas complejas, tales como la producción de literatura y de conocimiento, consideradas humanas. En este sentido y también inspirados por un editorial lleno de humor, en el cual el Director Figueiredo (2023) del periódico Notícias da Covilhã interactúa con el ChatGPT para que lo ayude a reflexionar sobre el tema para el editorial, decidimos invitar el ChatGPT como coautor del presente manuscrito. Fruto de la interacción con el ChatGPT, empezamos con la presentación de este modelo de lenguaje. Siguiendo con la interacción, discutimos la resolución de una generalización de una ecuación matricial propuesta en una referencia de Álgebra Lineal. Teniendo en cuenta los errores cometidos por el ChatGPT durante esta interacción, intentamos encontrar explicaciones para los mismos. Terminamos con direcciones de investigación futura, en particular en lo que respecta a la posibilidad de utilización del ChatGPT en la enseñanza y en el aprendizaje de las Matemáticas.
