| Sumario: | The study aimed to evaluate the semen quality through the kinetic sperm and verify the presence of markers of apoptosis in the ejaculate of stallions. Thus, three different ejaculates from six stallions were evaluated by CASA, index of translocation of membrane phospholipids (ITPS), activation of caspase (Icasp) and DNA fragmentation index (DFI) by epifluorescence microscopy at 0, 3, 6 and 12 h. ANOVA was performed and contrasts between means by Tukey method, with significance level P < 0.05. The parameters evaluated by CASA that showed differences at all times evaluated were: total and progressive sperm motility, sperm count fast and linear velocity, as for markers of apoptosis only the IDF showed differences between times 0, 6 and 12 h. |
