| Sumario: | Through a concept of identity politics, it is our proposal to discuss the relations among ethnicity, social movement and media. Some important aspects that lead to the identity conformation in Santa Maria’s African-Brazilian movement members are pointed: political mobilization and the singularity of the studied group, as well as the particular pressure suffered by the individuals. The research is based on Latin-American studies of reception and also on the theory-methodological model of mediations. |
