Sumario:Hugo Chávez referred to the Communes as the basis of the new Bolivarian Republic, the support of the government and the guarantee of a change in the nature of the State, from capitalist to anti-capitalist. However, the actions of Maduro's government show an accelerated tendency to reverse the anti-capitalist measures, reconsolidate the bourgeois state and guarantee the survival of a newly emerged bourgeoisie. Maduro would like to make a pact to survive, but he cannot. Therefore, the government implements surrendered policies in an opening plan. To understand these setbacks and trends in Venezuela, we must review what the Communes were, what they are now, and where they are going. This is the purpose of this essay.
