Resumo:In June 2013, the Free Pass Movement - activism movement and discussion around public transport - and a cohesion of young people used important ways of São Paulo to protest against the increase in the fare of public transportation. However, the occupation of the streets widened its scope and united a wide spectrum of supporters throughout the country, making the streets the axis for a series of demands touching on social, political and everyday issues. The enlarged movement clung to the label "The Giant Woke Up," an allusion to the "giant" country that had awakened to build a better reality of life for all the people. The protest movement brought together national feelings of desire to change the country's social and political paradigms. The purpose of this study is to investigate the socio-spatial dynamics of the events of the June 2013 Seminar, seeking to capitulate their origins, organization, development, scope, relationships, proportions and meanings according to socio-spatial operations, practices and processes.
