| Sumario: | The information society is a reality. The world is digitized. With it, new challenges and demands to the law emerged. One of them, dealt with here, concerns the succession law, which has accompanied humanity since time immemorial, as a foundation for the operationalization of the very notion of patrimony and inheritance, composed of assets, credits and debts of any person. Its transmission beyond death must include the new goods that arise from the process of digitizing the world. In fact, this paper intends to analyze the destination of the deceased person's digital assets, in order to verify if they would integrate, indistinctly, the deceased’s patrimony, in order to compose his inheritance for transmission to the heirs. As a result, it comes up against the inquiry about the possibility of transmission of digital goods of an existential nature, that is, insusceptible of economic valuation, comes up against. From this perspective, the research uses a hypothetical-deductive method, through bibliographic approach. |
