| Sumario: | This article aims to revisit the geopolitical thought of the German Karl Haushofer. He was responsible for formulating geostrategy based on the German worldview and aimed at overcoming the difficulties experienced by Germany after the First World War, in addition to recovering the status of world power and guaranteeing hegemony over the Heartland through an alliance between German and Soviet land powers, and Japanese naval power. Before explaining Haushofer's ideas, the article brings a brief dissertation on the German question between the 19th century and the Weimar Republic after the First World War. |
