RESULTS: Increased public reach during the pandemic through online activities. DISCUSSION: a pandemic made the world reorganize and with extension projects were no different, it was necessary to reinvent itself to continue promoting extension activities. CONCLUSION: even far from the places, the project can reach the target audience through online. Achieving the objective of promoting and protecting breastfeeding, based on safety information and making women protagonists of breastfeeding. |

PROPÓSITO: enumerar las acciones tomadas antes y durante la pandemia del covid-19. METODOLOGÍA: se trata de un relato de experiencia, que describe y compara las actividades de un proyecto de extensión en tiempo presencial y en distanciamiento social. RESULTADOS: Mayor alcance público durante la pandemia a través de actividades en línea. DISCUSIÓN: la pandemia ha provocado una reorganización mundial, necesitamos reinventarnos para seguir impulsando las actividades de divulgación. CONCLUSIÓN: lejos de los lugares de presencia, el proyecto puede llegar al público objetivo a través de internet. Se logró el objetivo de promover y proteger la lactancia materna, basado en información segura y haciendo a las mujeres protagonistas de la lactancia. O aleitamento materno (AM) é a prática padrão ouro da alimentação infantil, pois seus benefícios ultrapassama primeira infância, proporcionando melhor qualidade de vida para o bebê, a família e a sociedade. Este artigotem por objetivo relatar as ações de promoção da amamentação, realizadas antes e durante a pandemia deCovid-19. Trata-se de um relato de experiência que descreve e compara as atividades de um projeto de extensão em período presencial e no distanciamento social. A pandemia fez o mundo se reorganizar e, com os projetos de extensão, não foi diferente; foi preciso reinventar-se para continuar promovendo as atividades de extensão. Apontamos as ações produzidas no meio virtual, as quais resultaram no maior alcance de gestantes, lactantes e integrantes da rede de apoio, em comparação com o período pré-pandemia. Na atuação presencial, as ações do projeto se deram por meio de palestras, rodas de conversas e orientações; no ambiente online, por meio de redes sociais, ocorreram oficinas e eventos científicos.
