Sumario:The objective of this research article was to analyze the knowledge of the workers of the company "Metal Mecánica Antonio Tirado" located in the city of Ambato Panamericana Norte Km 7 about welding Methodology the method was inductive, the type of research was descriptive, documentary and field The population in this investigation was constituted by the 20 employees of the company "Metal Mecánica Antonio Tirado" The sample: was randomly selected, the only criterion being the desire to be part of this study, being constituted by 20 employees The technique and instrument of survey data collection, the instrument was the questionnaire, which was subjected to processes of calculation of validity and reliability, yielding 0.97. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. Result: The staff that works does not have sufficient knowledge about welding (54%), nor about the standards used for the handling of welding (60%); a small percentage of them have received training in this area, being in 55.55% of the cases through courses
