| Sumario: | This study presents a reflection on the discursive functioning of the word legacy in digital media, taking into account the production and circulation of discourses that reported the death of Professor Magda Soares. Therefore, from the perspective of Discourse Analysis and in its relations with the History of Linguistic Ideas, we will observe journalistic reports, propagated by/in online newspapers, as the place – and, equally, a discursivity –, in which possibilities open up. to apprehend movements of meaning of the word legacy. We also understand that, when we assume this word, that is, its meaning effects that are produced in relation to the contributions that this teacher brought to the field of language and education studies, we symbolically produce a gesture of homage to Magda Becker Soares. |
