| Sumario: | In this paper we present a new reading to the Virginia Mae Axline’s Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), from the Emmanuel Lévinas’ ethics of radical alterity and from Peter Schmid’s reading of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA). We will briefly discuss the ideas of Axline and contemporary authors about Play Therapy in Person-Centred Approach, Lévinas and his proposal of ethics, and from a new understanding of play therapy in which the child presents herself to the therapist as Face which refers to the Other and to which we can only be liability, availability and diakonia in a I-Thou relationship. |
