Sumario:This article intends to analyze, from an interdisciplinary perspective that brings together communication studies and discourse studies, humorous texts from the work Patacoadas, by Cornélio Pires. The intention is to analyze the texts as complex objects that intertwine issues of different orders (compositional, authorial, etc.), the main objective is to investigate the representation of the countryside man from the notion of discursive ethos (MAINGUENEAU, 2005b; 2008). These are initial analyzes of the author's work, which may be deepened in other scientific publications.
