Studies show that agricultural cooperatives are efficient and achieve successful integration into the economy. Success in these economies is attributed to good governance and institutional characteristics, including efficiency, capital structure and size. Agricultural cooperatives have unique characteristics, such as reducing poverty, improving food security and generating employment opportunities, and have the flexibility to meet a wide variety of human social and economic needs. The work presents current concerns relevant to the peanut production chain, from the producer to the agribusiness, associated with sustainability, economic crisis due to the global pandemic and the stability of the producer for decision making, according to the interviewee's point of view.

El trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la importancia de la gobernanza cooperativa para seguir siendo sostenible en tiempos de crisis. Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa en formato de entrevista estructurada con enfoques relacionados con la gobernanza, el cooperativismo, la sostenibilidad y la cadena del maní. Los estudios demuestran que las cooperativas agrícolas son eficientes y logran una integración exitosa en la economía. El éxito en estas economías se atribuye a la buena gobernanza y las características institucionales, incluida la eficiencia, la estructura de capital y el tamaño. Las cooperativas agrícolas tienen características únicas, como reducir la pobreza, mejorar la seguridad alimentaria y generar oportunidades de empleo, y tienen la flexibilidad para satisfacer una amplia variedad de necesidades humanas, sociales y económicas. El trabajo presenta inquietudes actuales relevantes para la cadena productiva del maní, desde el productor hasta la agroindustria, asociadas a la sustentabilidad, la crisis económica por la pandemia global y la estabilidad del productor para la toma de decisiones, según el punto de vista del entrevistado.O trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a importância da governança cooperativista para se manter sustentável em tempos de crise. Para tanto foi realizado uma pesquisa qualitativa no formato de entrevista estruturada com abordagens relativas í  governança, cooperativismo, sustentabilidade e a cadeia do amendoim. Estudos demonstram que as cooperativas agrícolas são eficientes e alcançam uma integração bem-sucedida na economia. O sucesso nessas economias é atribuído í  boa governança e às características institucionais, incluindo eficiência, estrutura de capital e tamanho. As cooperativas agrícolas têm características únicas, como reduzir a pobreza, melhorar a segurança alimentar e gerar oportunidades de emprego, e gozam de flexibilidade para atender a uma ampla variedade de necessidades humanas sociais e econômicas.
