Sumario:Introduction: The arterial hypertension is characterized by consistently high blood pressure and for that reason it is considered one of the main risk factorsin the development of cardiovascular diseases. Objective: To compare the values for PAS and PAD of Hypertensive individuals in the morning and evening periods, under medication. Materials and Methods: The sample comprises of eleven sedentary hypertensive medicated individuals, submitted to thirty minutes of continuous aerobic activity in the morning and evening. The intensity of the activity follows the Borg table. The values of PA were measured ten minutes before exercising and at five minutes intervals, for thirty minutes, after the termination of the exercise. Results: There was a decline of 9mmHg for the PAS and 6mmHg for the PAD in the morning, and a decline of 15mmHg for the PAS and 10mmHg for the PAD in the evening. Discussion: Individuals with a greater level of hypertension showeda bigger pressure drop during the recuperation period and this drop in pressure, studies show, can last up to 24 hours post activity. Regular physical exercise besides being a none pharmacological treatment is also capable of lowering the dosage or even eliminating the use of hypertension medication. Conclusion: Acute aerobic physical exercise is capable of provoking hypotension arterial during the recuperation period of the sedentary medica-ted hypertensive patient, a higher and more accentuated drop is had in the evening period.
