Sumario:The Popular Solidarity Economy (EPS) emerged as an alternative to the individualistic and competitive logic of the market economy. The fundamental principles of the EPS, such as cooperation, self-management, economic action and solidarity, guide the actions of the Solidarity Productive Organizations (OPS). The Incubation Center for Popular Solidarity Enterprises (CIEPS/UFU) at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) supports the OPS, promoting the application of these principles and providing support to keep them active and transformative. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how CIEPS/UFU has supported the OPS in implementing the EPS principles, emphasizing the role of the incubator in strengthening self-management, cooperation and solidarity practices. Based on the coordination of CIEPS/UFU, this study aims to understand how the support provided contributes to the development of the OPS. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, with intentional sampling. The results show that EPS strengthens local communities, promotes decent work and protects the environment. In addition, CIEPS/UFU plays a fundamental role in training and advising OPS. Finally, this study also highlights the importance of the certification of Social Control Organizations (OCS) and joint efforts as strategies to promote the development of OPS.
