Sumario:The news magazine Duas Pátrias, printed between 1954 and 1958 in Lisbon, but with headquarters in the Portuguese capital, in Rio de Janeiro and in São Paulo, was a Portuguese-Brazilian publication that is part of the history, which began in the 19th century, of the publication of Portuguese, Brazilian and Luso-Brazilian periodicals that circulated in Portugal and Brazil and that contributed to the consolidation of cultural relations between the two countries. This research presents this publication and analyzes its contents, using a quantitative and qualitative approach. It was found that the magazine contributed symbolically to the solidification of the current social order and reflected the official points of view of the governments of both countries. It was also found that the magazine valued personalities from the Portuguese, Brazilian and Luso-Brazilian elites, its target audience, and their achievements and enterprises, mainly in the commercial and industrial sectors, in line with the commercial, but also social and political objectives of its owner-publishers
