Descripción
Sumario:This paper analyzes the body education proposed by scouting as an element belonging to the imperialism logic of capitalism in the early twentieth century. Based on books written by Baden-Powell, we elaborated reflections divided into two parts: first, we show the importance of education of the body to the pedagogical discourses that existed in the early decades of the twentieth century. In the second part, we investigate the thought of Baden-Powell  to show that at the same time, he achieved two objectives: 1) he acted on the limits educational specifically linked to British and training of citizens capable of sustaining the British Empire, 2) while he has offered discourses and training practices that gave value to the body and its education.
