| Sumario: | The present work seeks to verify the relations between the scouting activities and cartographic science, divided into four sections, the first one is given through a brief summary of what the Scout Movement is, its emergence and its characterization as non-formal education. Following, it seeks to verify the occurrence of the use of cartographic science in the activities proposed and developed by the Scout movement through a literature review, looking for publications that intersect scouting and cartography. Next, three publications and a dissertation are listed, which in part or in whole, address the relations between scouting and cartography in activities developed or in Scout documents and manuals that present elements of cartographic science. The categories of research used and developed by their respective authors, and the form of contact that occurred between them and the scout activities in the course of their research are also presented. At the last moment, a conclusion will be made listing, from the texts found, how cartography is present in the scout activities at different times and their pedagogical proposal, also presenting how it is worked by scouts and its purposes. Finally, there is a reflection on the developments in the construction of geographical and cartographic knowledge for the individuals participating in the activities. |
