Descripción
Sumario:Objective: To present contributions to the sharing of information in social media, based on the resources of Information Design and the actions of Digital Curation, interdisciplinary to Information Science. Methodology: A bibliographical survey was carried out about the relations between Information Design and Digital Curation in the context of social media of cultural equipments in digital-virtual environments. Subsequently, experiences of these equipments with social media were analyzed, in which two media of the British Library were selected: Instagram and Flickr. Results: It was possible to identify Folksonomy as an emerging resource of Information Design for the description and representation of information in social media. Thus, the collective construction of knowledge enables cultural equipments to share their content based on the specificities of each media, on the potentialities of their collections and on the typologies of communities of interest. Conclusions: The resources of Information Design and the actions of Digital Curation, when converged with Information Science, facilitate the processes of knowledge construction through the potential of information systems and stimulate reflections about the technical activities of information professionals, public and institutional culture policies.
