| Sumario: | The aim of this article is to reflect on the elements that differentiate and bring together digital culture and cyberculture. Dialoguing with theoretical references in the areas of Communication, Technology and Education (CORDEIRO, 2014; LEMOS, 2021; LÉVY, 2009; RUDIGER, 2011, SANTAELLA, 2003; SILVEIRA, 2009, among others), two researchers, one a doctoral thesis and the other a full professor, came across some theorists who sometimes use these terms synonymously and/or sometimes understand them based on their specificities and differences. As a result, we don't understand digital culture and cyberculture as hierarchical instances, but as horizontally intertwined, one linked to the other. Digital culture lies in the processes of sharing, production, construction, communication, participation and consumption, resulting from the curious immersion of practitioners in the digital technologies that are present in their daily lives. Cyberculture, on the other hand, is network culture, which intensifies and diversifies digital culture, as processes that were previously carried out offline are now enhanced online. |
