Sumario:This paper focuses on the expressiveness and the contributions of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in the education of journalists, during the course named Voice and Expressiveness Laboratory, in an undergraduate Journalism course. Written, text and imagery productions as well as academic papers are the starting point for analysis that focuses on the course’s educational practices and shows the transformations that occur, during the ongoing process of curricular changes as well as the limitations/difficulties and perspectives/possibilities of working with the expressiveness and health of journalists. The study shows the importance of working with expressiveness in higher education and subsidizes processes of creating formal social educational spaces to broaden the communicative/expressive spectrum of future professionals in beginning a culture that focuses on care, health and quality of life in jobs that involves Communication.
