| Sumario: | In April 2004, women from Fortaleza met to discuss ways to face discrimination not only against women generally speaking, but specifically against a much hostilized segment in society, which is the bisexual and lesbian women. As an action proposal to combat several orders of violence – like the physical and the symbolical ones – against this segment, those women from Fortaleza decided to create the group LANCE (Lésbicas Atuantes no Ceará), which would become LAMCE (Liberdade do Amor entre Mulheres no Ceará). This article aims at analyzing the genesis, the trajectory and the main challenges of the group, which completes ten years of existence in 2015. |
