Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to present an education project about lexicon and indigenous culture that was carried out with undergraduate students. In methodological terms, students had access to Stradelli’s dictionary (1929), that registers the Nheengatu language, also known as Amazonian língua geral. For this purpose, students used the Flex software in order to produce a thematic vocabulary in Nheengatu-Portuguese. The results showed that teaching projects like this can be considered an innovative way of teaching lexicon since it contributes to the creation of an investigative spirit in students. More specifically, this project allowed students to be in contact with indigenous languages, which form the diversity of Brazilian speech.
