Sumario:The text maps papers on the topic of disinformation and journalism published in Brazil. A review was carried out of 54 articles published in 27 journals indexed by an important Brazilian database. The results point to the growth of academic articles on the subject, an aspect that coincides with the political rise of the far-right and the pandemic. Nevertheless, there is a limited number of studies that critically examine the subject of misinformation from the vantage point of professional journalism, including the concept of newsworthiness. There is still a dearth of research that links to current visibility demands, a concept that appears to be a contested terrain between a disciplinary paradigm and a performance logic.
