Sumario:Based on some assumptions that defined clinic and following Jacques Lacan's recommendations, this study aimed to situate the field of intervention of professionals who work with language. For that, we point out the dualist conceptions stumbling blocks, removing the risk of marking the intervention of these professionals as a palliative measure for effects that would occur in the somatic sphere. Finding out what does not work with the term "hole", whose connection with speech would constitute Psychoanalysis, we use a clinical fragment in order to show, not its (impossible) elimination, but how it can be used to guide research.
