Today, on the contrary, we already comfortably assimilate theories originating from investigations of our unconscious, back in the day, and of the imaginary in the 1960s. Another theme with a postmodern bias is the formative aspects of a will, especially with Foucault. Or, to corroborate our thesis, we also look into cultural hybridisms, in Canclini, among other authors mentioned in this work. As a conclusion, we consider that the performative takes place – in a discontinuous world – in the paradoxical agglutination of individuals around post-modern “tribalisms” with an aesthetic rather than an ideological character.Este artigo procura, a partir de uma visão mais ensaística do que rígida, investigar o termo “performance” como análogo ao “tribalismo” pós-moderno de caráter estético. Um pós-moderno que trans-forma (o além da forma) do então positivismo calcado, nos três últimos séculos, em um Projeto da Modernidade. Hoje, ao contrário, já assimilamos, confortavelmente, teorias oriundas de investigações do nosso inconsciente, lá atrás, e do imaginário nos anos 1960. Outro tema de viés pós-moderno são os aspectos formativos de uma vontade, principalmente com o Foucault. Ou, ainda, para corroborar com nossa tese, debruçamo-nos, também, nos hibridismos culturais, em Canclini, entre outros autores mencionados neste trabalho.
